Domaine, Gardens and Palace of Versailles : Tickets and Audioguide.

You will be transported back to the Golden Age of France with a trip to the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an emblem of French royalty and extravagance. You will be guaranteed priority entry. You will marvel at the impressive royal château, transformed from a hunting lodge by the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV in the 1660s.

The playground of French monarchs, Versailles was the centre of royal and political power until the French Revolution of 1789, which forced Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette to return to the capital.

Explore the manicured gardens ‘à la française’ (special chauffeur-driven entrance) that reflect the splendour of the interior. Designed by French landscape architect André Le Nôtre in 1661 for King Louis XIV, the 2,000-acre park is an architectural expanse of vistas, parterres, fountains and groves that from its inception has defined what a French garden should be.

Only the Palace and the Domaine de Trianon are accessible. The gardens require a driver.

Optional : visit with a private guide.

Impressive stained glass windows, spread over 15 windows, each 15 metres high, the stained glass windows depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments, narrating the history of the world up to the arrival of the relics in Paris.
